Shapes Storytime

The kids and I have joined a wonderful Meetup group of moms and kids. These are pictures of Storytime at Pinecrest Gardens where Haydee and Nicole, two of our moms, prepared books, activities, and take home crafts for the kids.

Gabriel thoroughly enjoyed learning about shapes.

Here Nicole is reading a book and Gabriel is listening intently.

Joshua also enjoyed hanging out and listening to the commotion.

Here Gabriel is placing shapes on an outline. It's amazing how fast he picked up the activity. When he finished he stated "Let's do it again!"

This is the visor he made with the G for Gabriel and the different shapes.

Here Gabe is sorting shapes in different containers. He's so SMART! :)

Gabriel's Last Swimming Lesson

This was Gabriel's last swimming lesson where he showed just how far Mrs. Traci had brought him by swimming across the pool with one stop in between.

He is turning out to be as athletically gifted as his Dad. :) That is if there isn't too much "sun".

Gabriel @ My Gym

Gabriel loves to go to My Gym and expend all of his energy. So I tried to catch him in a few poses so that later on we can remember what he was doing at this time and age. He loves the ball pit and climbing all over the place.

Gabe & Josh Watching Softball

We went to play softball with some of the singles from Cornerstone, Camino Nuevo, and IBI and the kids were watching the action from the sidelines.

Gabriel's First Day of "School"

Gabriel started enrichment in the PA.C.E. program. He is currently taking Indoor Sports and Little Chefs classes on Friday mornings. This was a picture of his first day on September 5, 2008.

Gold Coast Railroad Museum

I joined a Meetup group of moms whose children were all born in 2006. Therefore, Gabriel is on the older range, but some of the kids are almost exactly his age. I've enjoyed meeting these new moms and their kids and I think Gabriel has enjoyed the new outings.

Today we went to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum. I had always seen signs, but in 18 years living in Miami I had never actually been there. It's a neat place to go to if you have small children as they have trains and you can ride some of them and they have a model train room where the children can play with Thomas type trains and see model trains running. I believe Gabriel had fun as evidenced by these pictures. (He's also wearing his Big Brother shirt :)
